I figure I have about 20 more weekends to explore BA, so I’ve decided to be a little more pro active especially as far as outdoor sites are concerned. I can go to museums on rainy days. Sunday was a beautiful day. The weather has changed and the temperature is just a touch more comfortable, the humidity is something else here, clearly I am not used to it! I have a bike tour scheduled for a bit later today and I’ll post that soon, it was awesome, but while I’m waiting I decide to stroll through the botanic garden, it’s free. Lots of photo ops here, so enjoy!

This garden was inaugurated in 1898 and contains 5,500 species. It is the end of summer and the garden lush, green and surprisingly quiet in the middle of a cacophonous city!

  1. Botanical gardens are one of my favourite place to visit when I’m away. They offer a look at what the people value. NIce places. There is a park, not sure if it is botanical, in Seattle where there are signs that say “No running or Jogging”; I like the indication that this is a place of quietness and calm for both the plants and people.
